It’s challenging enough when a person is diagnosed with breast cancer. A diagnosis often leads to financial hardship for the entire family. That’s where Shades of Pink California comes in. They provide gift cards to families of breast cancer patients to help ease the financial burden. Your donations help to fund those gift cards.
At WCV’s October meeting, we dressed in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month and listened to Vembra Holnagel, Founding Board Member, Treasurer, Development Director, Past President, and Grant Committee Chairperson, and Kristine Quart, President, of Shades of Pink California Foundation.
Members and guests also wrote letters to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients via the Girls Love Mail organization. It was a busy but meaningful meeting.
