  • Badge preference;
  • Volunteer interests, such as committee interests, and philanthropic interests;
  • Skills you can share;
  • Your signature;
  • Any other information that you may choose to provide.

This information is stored in an email list management software such as Constant Contact, a website database, and Microsoft documents on members’ personal computers. It may also be sent via email to other members of The Woman’s Club of Vista.

When you sign up for membership via the Website, we may collect payment information from you. If you pay by credit card online, your information is stored in PCI-compliant third-party platforms such as PayPal and Stripe. If you pay by check, a copy of your check is stored in our bank records.

We may also periodically ask for information from members via email or forms. These requests include but are not limited to event RSVPs, volunteer requests, photos, hours volunteered, amounts donated, testimonial requests, surveys, and similar information. This information may be stored via email, website databases, or in Microsoft documents on members’ personal computers.

In working with other nonprofit organizations, we may ask for:

  • Employee names and contact information;
  • Name and tax ID of nonprofit organization;
  • Information about your services, activities, and impact to the Vista community;
  • Volunteer opportunities; and
  • Any other information that you may choose to provide.

In working with school counselors for potential scholarship recipients, we may ask for:

  • Names and contact information of school counselors;
  • Names, education, grades, career aspirations, and other information about students who are eligible for scholarship consideration;
  • Any other information that you may choose to provide.

Information Automatically Collected About You
This includes information that is automatically stored by cookies and other session tools. For example, dates and times of transactions you make with us, your IP address, appointment scheduling information, information about emails we send you such as open rate and bounce rate, and similar information. This information is used to improve your member experience. When you use our offerings or look at the contents of our website, your activities may be logged.

Even though we try our best we cannot guarantee the security of information. However, we promise to notify suitable authorities of data breaches. We will also notify you if there is a threat to your rights or interests. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist authorities should any breaches occur.

The Woman’s Club of Vista website does not use cookies.

The Woman’s Club of Vista works with high school guidance counselors who are responsible for selecting scholarship applicants who may be under 18 years of age. We do not intend to collect or knowingly collect information directly from children. We do not target children with our offerings.
