We are still flying high after the success of our Silent Auction and Luau. We raised over $5,000. A huge thank you to the committee members who ventured into unknown waters to spearhead this endeavor: Kati Mendoza, Kristin Krahmer, Theresa Solhatalab and Liz
Franciscus. Without Kati’s vision, this event would not have been as successful. And thanks to Nikki and her husband Merritt for sharing their wonderful home with us.

Fundraising and financial stability go hand in hand. Fundraising and financial resource management is important to ensure that funds are available to meet the goals that the WCV feel are most important year after year.

WCV Yearbook Ads – We are in the process of updating our Yearbook to include new member information and changes to the Bylaws. Based on the costs to publish the Yearbook last year, we expect to spend $500 to produce a new Yearbook. Although we could just write a check from our bank account and be done with it, that is not financially prudent. We have more important uses for our hard earned money. So, our Members are once again asked to sell ads to go into the Yearbook.

 A business card size ad is $25.

 A half page ad is $50.

Included in that price, and new this year, is an opportunity for a business to reach out to our members by printing and sharing with the WCV, up to 75 coupon sheets (1/2 a page size) that will be distributed to the members. And when the businesses see their coupons coming back, they will recognize what good partners the members of WCV can be.

Who should buy an ad?

Please encourage your family members and friends to purchase a tax deductible ad. Even if they consider it a goodwill donation, it will help our Club. Perhaps YOU could purchase an ad for your favorite hairdresser, housekeeper, gardener or window washer as a “thank you” for always doing a good job. Ads must be camera ready and submitted to Judy Stevens or a Board Member by November 4. Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for (audience)? Why should they care (benefit)? What do I want them to do (call-to-action)?

Create a great offer by adding words like “free,” “personalized,” “complimentary,” or “customized.” A sense of urgency often helps readers take action, so consider inserting phrases like “for a limited time only” or “only 7 remaining!”

THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR OUR RAISE RIGHT PROGRAM!!!!

As the holiday season approaches, I want to thank every member for your support this year. Your participation has helped our club grow and helped make our projects possible.

The weeks ahead are a time to celebrate what we have accomplished together and to look toward what comes next. We hope you will stay involved with Raise Right as you explore travel, dining and gift card opportunities.

Raise Right continues to provide us with approximately $200 per month income. Keep up the good work!
