It was a beautiful June morning for our nature walk around Guajome Park, another hidden Vista gem. The June gloom was quickly gone and the sun was out and the birds were singing. Nancy B Jones and Tenaya Becker shared their knowledge about the native plants and we carefully avoided the poison oak that was growing everywhere along the path. Guajome Lake was a beautiful surprise as we came around the bend. The ducks and geese were living their best life enjoying handouts from the visitors. There were lots of dogs and runners on the path and even a spot to go fishing. Walking together experiencing nature was a great opportunity to get to know each other better and to plan for our next walking event. Join us on Saturday, July 26th when we return to Discovery Lake in San Marcos. We will be meeting at 9:00 AM to avoid the summer heat. Enjoying the park were Nancy B Jones, Liz Franciscus, Meg Minnick, Gail Baker, Tenaya Becker and Kathleen Sprinkle. RSPV to Nancy B Jones at nbjones@thewomansclubofvista.
