Mark your calendar for December 4, 2024 from 1-4 PM when we will play Secret Santa in conjunction with a nonprofit that helps homeless families get back on their feet.
What to Prepare: Here are some suggested items to bring:
- Holiday Décor:
- Fake 4’-6’ tree (6’ max due to space), lights, ornaments
- Garland or lights for outside (don’t forget an extension cord)
- Wreath for the door (with an over-the-door hanger)
- Food:
- Boxed food for the holidays (please label items with your unit #)
- Boxed cookie dough, cookie sheets, or a gingerbread house kit (something fun for the family to do together)
- A card from your family or group
- Additional Ideas:
- Toiletries for the bathroom
- Pots, pans (boxed)
- Dishes & flatware
- Linens (towels, pillows, sheets, blankets – twin & queen size)
- Small appliances (toaster, coffee pot)
- Cleaning supplies (in a bucket)
- Laundry basket with soap
- Games, puzzles, movies, or books for the family to enjoy together
- Movie gift cards (no more than $200 in gift cards total, please)
Gifts for Kids: Keep in mind, that the kids will receive plenty of toys during the holidays, so think of gifts they can enjoy year-round.
Gifts for Parents: Self-care items (e.g., body mist, lotion, razors, nail polish, and other hygiene items)
Reminders:
- No cash: Gift cards are a great alternative.
- No furniture:
- No candles.
- Extras: Please bring command hooks, extension cords, batteries, and anything else you may need for decorating. Any items you don’t use can be donated to the community room for future use.
- No bikes.
