I have been volunteering with Ed Becerra of Education Begins in the Home. They hand out books at food banks, schools, and community events. All free. We are like minded and share a desire to spread literacy to everyone in the community. Ed has donated many boxes of books for our Bubbles and Books laundromat children’s bookshelves. He has thousands and thousands of books in very good condition, including adult and kid’s books in Spanish and English. He has been storing his books at a generously provided classroom for many years but the school has recently told him they have to return that room to school use, and he needs to move a huge stock of books. He would love a free space to store books if anyone has any ideas. He would also love to learn about more events he could attend to hand out free books.
