To our WCV @ Night group, you have a very important vote this month. We need a commitment from at least ten of you that you will attend our night meeting at Shadowridge Golf Club every month. We need this information to decide whether to sign a 6 month contract with Shadowridge that Sonja has been working on (please read below). If we do not have ten members every month to commit to paying $20 for their meal, the Club will have to pay the difference, and we do not have a budget for your group that will cover those expenses. Right now, we have enough members to fulfill our quota, however, consistency is not there.

Christmas to me means bringing together Aunts and Uncles, cousins, and my grandmother. We would start early in the evening on Christmas Eve at one house with hors d’oeuvres and one homemade gift. Then as we went from house to house the meal progressed from salads etc. until the main course happened at the last house around midnight. At each house we would all get one homemade gift unless it was our own house of course! Every year the last house would change on a rotating basis and there were usually five houses included all together. It was quite a night. And in St. Louis, it almost always snowed on Christmas Eve!

As we come to the close of 2024 and I review this newsletter, I am amazed at how much this club has accomplished. But then I realize we have a team of remarkable women in this club that make things happen and I just beam with knowing I am part of this group. As they say, we are small but mighty! I hope you take the time to read all that we are accomplishing this month, and every month in our newsletters. And now we look forward to many more exciting projects like our April Autism Walk and others.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year from all of us at the Woman’s Club of Vista. We look forward to seeing you in the new year at one of our meetings. If you have a special project you feel we can help you with please contact me at JudyP@TheWomansClubofVista.org
