The April 2025 meeting for the Woman’s Club of Vista was packed with information on all the upcoming events. Check the calendar on the website if you missed the meeting. We all sang Happy Birthday to “us” to celebrate GFWC’s birthday. Voting took place to accept the election of Officers and Directors for 2025-2027 as well as the two delegates chosen for the District Convention. All were encouraged to attend the convention.
Our speaker was Keisha Javis-Jones, Community Partnerships Director of Foundation for Women Warriors, a 104 year old nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of Women Veterans and their children. Services include emergency and transition, offset costs for education, advance employment, childcare, financial aid for housing and expenses and more. Keisha (without any notes) shared the purpose of this organization at length and her story and struggles she had when transitioning from the military.
