Welcome back from what was hopefully a wonderful summer vacation. We are so lucky to live in Southern California where we only had a week or so of uncomfortable weather and did not have to exist with over 100-degree weather or torrential downpours and then the flooding aftermaths. We count our lucky stars every day!
And speaking of stars! Our club has thirty-eight of them now! Yes, thirty-eight members of our club! I am excited to announce that we have grown through the summer when we are supposed to be quiet. Our WCV @ Night group and our Book Club, both of which continue during the summer months, continued to grow the club by adding new members! That just shows you how fun these two Sections of our club actually are. Remember, any club member may attend either of these groups at any time. Congratulations to both Sections!
And, I am so excited to also see all the returning members to our Woman’s Club of Vista! Two months away from each of you seems like a lifetime. We also have some new members we are excited to introduce to you!
As our Club continues to grow, so does our Board of Directors. I am pleased to announce some additions to our Board this session: 2nd VP-Membership: Donna DiMambro, 3rd VP-Programs: Shelly Gardner, 4th VP- Fundraising: Sandi Leyva, and as an Assistant to Sonja for newly named “WCV at Night” Group, Holly Hurd. Thank you all for stepping into your new positions and helping us lead the club!
Sonja and I are anxious to have you hear of our plans for the new year and all the great programs and projects your Vice-Presidents and Program Chairmen have in store for you!
