Hi Ladies!
Can you believe it’s already November! The weather is finally cooling off a little, my backyard is filled with fallen leaves, and Trader Joe’s is fulfilling my every pumpkin flavored fantasy. My thoughts are turning to turkey, cranberries and family coming in from out of town. It’s my favorite time of the year and not just because I was born in October!
This month we will be focusing on our Veterans and active duty servicemen and women by welcoming Lori Boody, from the Veteran’s Association, North County (VANC). VANC is a one-stop resource center for all active-duty military, Veterans, and their families. We are encouraging our members to bring in a toy or gift card to show our appreciation for our military’s courage, sacrifice and dedication to keeping us free. Our donations will help VANC to provide gifts at their holiday parties for the children of our military, many of whom will not be home for Christmas.

We are also going to bring a little Thanksgiving cheer to the bedridden patients at Santa Fe Acute Care Skilled Nursing Facility by providing signed Happy Thanksgiving cards – so bring your favorite pen to the meeting! I hope to see you all there – arrive a little early to socialize!
