April was an awesome month to be a WCV member! We are so much more than a social club. Members volunteered at the Foundation For Women Warriors, cleaned jewelry on Craft Day for the Boys and Girls Club project, collected books for the Bubbles and Books project, represented the Club at Earth Day, put on our fabulous Autism Walk, and won numerous awards for our narratives at this year’s Convention. And that was just one month! In June, we will welcome Sierra Loredo from the Vista Boys and Girls Club as our speaker. She has made a special request for donations of Feminine Hygiene products for their older girls. In the past, we have answered this request for Alabaster Jar and last year for Solutions For Change. I will be collecting donations throughout the month of May and at our June day meeting. Thank you for helping the girls at our Boys and Girls Club!
Thank you Members for your vote of confidence in electing me as your next President. Judy and Sonja will be a hard act to follow but I am excited to continue in their footsteps with the help and support of our new Board of Officers and Directors. Look for interesting and rewarding programs and activities to come! See you all at Donation Day and don’t forget to bring your 1 dozen cookies!
