Women Who Inspire

Lisa de Jesus and Nancy B Jones were recognized by California Senator Catherine Blakespeare as Women Who Inspire during Women’s History Month in March. Lisa was recognized for her work with ADU Gurus and as a real estate agent, helping provide needed housing. Nancy was recognized for her volunteer work with Alta Vista Botanical Gardens.

Garden Champion at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens

Donna Weber received a “Garden Champion” award from Alta Vista Botanical Gardens for her volunteer service dating back to 2020!  We appreciate her kindness and enthusiasm working with kids and families in the Kids in the Garden class and our Festivals!
 
 

Woman of the Year ceremonyWoman of the Year

On Friday March 21st, Assemblywoman Laurie Davies honored 22 San Diego County women who were nominated for the 2025 Woman of the Year program at a reception in Oceanside. Two of our members were among the nominees: Bea Palmer and Lisa de Jesus. The event recognized the valuable contributions of women from California’s 74th Assembly District, celebrating their dedication and impact within their communities. Congrats to Bea and Lisa!
