May 2026 WCV at Night

May 27 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
$27

Pickleball began in the summer of 1965 on Bainbridge Island, Washington, when Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum set out to entertain their families with a simple backyard game. Using a badminton court, ping-pong paddles, and a perforated plastic ball, they created something entirely new. What started as a casual afternoon experiment quickly grew into one of the fastest-growing sports in America.

The beauty of pickleball is that truly anyone can play. The court is smaller than tennis, the paddle is easy to handle, and the rules are simple to learn—making it perfect for beginners, older adults, and families alike. You don’t need years of experience or peak athletic ability to step onto the court and start having fun.

But what really makes pickleball special is the laughter. It’s the quick rallies, the friendly competition, and the way people naturally connect across generations. Whether you’re playing your very first game or you’ve been on the court for years, pickleball invites everyone in.

So, for our next meeting, May 27th, 6pm, Shadowridge Golf Club, bring your friends and hear from an expert how Pickleball can become your next activity of friendship and laughter!
