Volunteering At Foundation For Women Warriors Halloween Event
On Saturday October the 25th, two of our members, Barbara Macpherson and Joy Stefano, spent an enjoyable morning at the annual Halloween get together at the Foundation for Women Warriors in Vista. Each year the foundation invites the military women supported by the organization to come and select items from the warehouse for their families which include clothing, personal hygiene items and kids clothing and toys. The ladies can ‘shop’ for needed items while their kids are encouraged to work on crafts set out by volunteers and employees of the foundation. Christmas will provide another volunteer opportunity for any who wish!
