Imagine finding out you have breast cancer. For one in eight women, this will be reality in their lifetime. The good news is that 98 percent of women will survive breast cancer when they catch it early. This emphasizes the importance of self-exams as well as mammograms.
All of us know women who have gone through this heart-wrenching process. You can help by writing letters to women who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The Woman’s Club of Vista is partnering with Girls Love Mail for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
If you’d like to participate, view or download the requirements here on the Girls Love Mail website.
If you’re local to Vista, the club will supply stationery at all of our October events. If you’re not local, use any note card, stationery, postcard, or standard paper of your choosing that fits or folds into the special GLM Envelope 4.75” x 6.5.”
Hand your letters to any Board member or mail them to WCV, P.O. Box 91, Vista, CA 92085 by the end of October. The club will mail them in bulk to Girls Love Mail.
Thank you for making a breast cancer patient feel better about herself.
