SUMMARY:February 2025 Monthly Evening Meeting
DESCRIPTION:In February\, we’ll support our primary fundraiser of the year\, the Second Annual Vista Fun Walk for Autism Awareness and Acceptance\, by creating Swift bracelets for the walkers. \nWe’ll also be in our new home at Shadowridge Golf Club. You will get to choose from three dinner entrees\, and special dietary needs will be honored. The bar will also be available for those of you who would like a cocktail with dinner. \nThe evening begins at 6PM and includes a short club meeting\, the program with bracelet materials included\, your meal\, and informal networking. Cost is $25\, and RSVPs are required by February 19\, 2025. Online advance payments are required for both guests and members.  \nAbout Swift Bracelets \nA Swift bracelet is a type of friendship bracelet that is typically made of beads using a variety of colors and spelling out different words and catchphrases. \nIt’s named after Taylor Swift because Swifties swapped bracelets during the Eras tour. While the bracelets spelled out song lyrics\, titles\, or fandom inside jokes\, ours will promote autism awareness\, encourage neurodiversity\, and contain uplifting phrases for the walkers. \nAbout the Second Annual Vista Fun Walk for Autism Awareness and Acceptance \nThe Woman’s Club of Vista (WCV) is hosting the Second Annual Vista Fun Walk for Autism Awareness and Acceptance on April 6\, 2025 from 11AM to 3PM at the Vista Civic Center. It’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for WCV and all proceeds go to Vista nonprofits and nonprofit organizations that support autism research\, awareness\, and acceptance. \nIn 2024\, we partnered with The Autism Society of San Diego\, the Shine Project Foundation\, Moonlight Youth Theater and Blissful Seeds\, along with several for-profit companies to bring the First Annual Fun Walk for Autism Awareness and Acceptance to Vista\, CA.
